Over the past month, I have published:
- A new battle study: D-Day: Pegasus Bridge glider assault, 6 June 1944, examining the planning and execution of one of the most audacious operations of the Second World War – a D-Day glider-borne assault on the Caen Canal and Orne River Bridges in Normandy.
- The new Tactical Innovations hub will bring together studies of how new ideas and technologies have altered the conduct of battle over the past 2500 years.
- A new article on Tactical Innovations: Machine Gun Theory, exploring how the introduction of sustained automatic fire reshaped battlefield tactics
- A developing series of observations on the war in Ukraine, focusing on how modern forces are adapting to terrain, sensors, and firepower. The first article is: Tactical Innovations: Lessons from the Russo-Ukrainian War
